Others have touched his life in various ways: positive, negative, and indifferent experiences have allowed Mark to grow both professionally and personally throughout the decades.
Mark’s professional career started in 1989, where he worked as a Trademark Assistant in the Corporate Legal Division of Warner Lambert Company/Pfizer, Inc. In this position, he processed trademark searches, applications, registrations, renewals and corrected trademark discrepancies that came to his attention. Mark Matyas compiled correspondence letters to both domestic and international legal affiliates, maintained the MarkMaster Trademark System, conducted file reviews, and coordinated company assignments.
After three years with his previous employer, Mark Matyas worked for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, also known as MetLife, as an Operations Manager for Group National Accounts. While pursuing his education, Mark Matyas worked in New York as an NGO Analyst for the United Nations. He served on the data analyst team as its leader, acting as the first point of contact for both the media and constituency. This meant that Mark would have to write press releases and quarterly newsletters for those involved in the United Nations; he also acted as the organization’s liaison between non-governmental organization (NGO) delegates and the NGO Resource Center. Additionally, Mark reviewed the information programs associated with the Department of Public Information (DPI) and organized, planned, and executed the Annual DPI-NGO Conference.
Mark Matyas has acted as a Freelance Writer for Private Client Business Development since 2001.
